Last Thursday my team and I presented our project during a trade fair in Tellus in Oulu University. The trade fair was a pleasant experience, and it was also interesting to hear about other groups’ projects. During the trade fair our peers gave us feedback which we received later that week.
The first
part of the feedback was about our prototype. The feedback mentioned that we
should have included our prototype to our poster. I agree that it would have
made our presentation clearer if we had included our prototype as a picture and
not as a separate thing. This is also related to the feedback about our poster,
which in we got mostly decent and positive reviews on. Overall, I am satisfied with our poster but there is always room to improve.
Our pitch
was reported to be somewhat effective by 13 people and very effective by 12
people. I am happy to receive positive feedback about our pitch because I felt
like our team presented our project quite well. Even though our pitch was reported
effective by other teams we also got comments on our project being quite
ambitious. I see where these comments are coming from, and I do also
feel like the work needed to succeed in this project could be a lot. Even
though we got comments about our project being too big for our group we also
got feedback that stated that the product would be useful and desirable for our
peers. Maybe with a bigger team and thorough planning this product could be
feasible?
Overall,
the trade fair was an interesting experience. I find the feedback we got to be
helpful and gives me a good idea of what could be done better in the future. If
I was ever to create another poster for a project, I would put more focus on
creating a poster that is clearer and gives other people a good idea of what
the product is like.
